Participants

The meeting will bring together researchers with different backgrounds, belonging to a wide gamut of disciplines, such as geology, anthropology, geography, history, chemistry, environmental sciences, botany. The goal is to gain insights into topics such as sustainable development, natural hazards, the capacity of societies to cope with rapid natural changes during the Holocene, both in Italy and at the global level. One of the main purposes of the event is to foster dialogue among researchers, in such a way as to cross traditional cultural boundaries and bring together scholars who, usually, have few opportunities to share experiences with colleagues from other disciplines.
