INFORMATION
How to reach Varenna
Milano airports (Linate, 10 km from Milano and Malpensa, 46 km from
Milano) and the railway stations in town (Milano Porta Garibaldi and
Milano Centrale) are connected with a frequent bus service. The railway
line on which Varenna is located is Milano-Sondrio-Tirano. Trains to
Varenna are leaving about every 2 hours from both railway stations
(fast trains from Milano Centrale). After buying your railway ticket
remember to punch it in one of the yellow punching machines before
going on to the platform. The trip from Milano to Varenna is about 1
hour.
Venue
Varenna is
located on the eastern shore of Como Lake, about 70 km north of Milan.
Four airports are nearby: Milan-Malpensa, Milan-Linate,
Bergamo-Orio al Serio, Brescia-Montichiari.
