Powder Diffraction, an internationally recognized journal devoted to the use of powder diffraction methods for the structural characterization of materials, intends to publish a special issue dedicated to the research results of the School attendees in the field of powder diffraction (sensu lato).

Powder Diffraction focuses on materials characterization employing X-ray powder diffraction techniques and features articles covering a huge range of topics - from materials analysis to epitactic growth of thin films to advances in applications software. Thus, students working in this wide field, are warmly invited to submit their original work to be inserted in the special issue.

The special issue will contain 8 to 10 papers and will appear in December 2012. The papers have to be submitted as normally required by Powder Diffraction, i.e. through the ScholarOne Manuscripts system. They will be automatically assigned to a Guest Editor and will be subject to a normal peer review process.
